Circles, Drums, Rattles, and More...
|
Sandy D’Entremont has been a student of earth-based spirituality for over 25 years and blends the principles of many traditional and contemporary visionary practices into her teaching. Through her apprenticeships as a sacred fire-keeper and ceremonial singer, Sandy learned the art of gently holding the sacred circle while tending the hearts of the people. Over the past ten years, Sandy has studied various styles of drum-making, and now teaches students the medicine and craft of the drum via drum-making workshops. In addition, Sandy has been a student of Healing Touch methodologies, the Usui system of Reiki, and various indigenous shamanic healing techniques. She is known for her ability to listen beneath the surface to facilitate understanding, while also weaving a light-heartedness as part of the process. Sandy is a collaborating author of The Path of the White Wolf, An Introduction to the Shaman's Way, a teaching about the Spiral Path that traverses the Seven Sacred Directions of the Medicine Wheel. Written in partnership with Robin Youngblood, this book illuminates the inter-connection and interdependence we share as students of the Great Mystery. Designed to help us discover our unique spiritual heritages, these foundational teachings serve as a catalyst to transform our perspective, enabling us to create more harmony and balance in our lives. See the Path of the White Wolf page for additional details. As part of Sandy’s commitment to community, she works with women to design ritual celebrations for life’s transitions – personal or seasonal - as the wheel turns. She weaves ceremony from song, meditation, journeying, drumming, healing techniques, and sacred witnessing, creating a container in which women can express themselves and their truth, share their dreams, and speak their prayers. In this way, Sandy brings us together to envision a new paradigm, where we can begin to heal the sacred hoop and strengthen the sacred web that holds all of our relations.
